If you're older than 30, chances are you remember audiovisual presentations that went terribly, terribly wrong: slides that jammed in the projector, 16mm film that burned before your eyes, and presenters who couldn't find the right overhead transparency to save their lives.
That was then; this is now.
AV has changed. Today, the computer puts effective AV within easy reach. PowerPoint and Keynote slide programs offer vast design options for combining text, photographs, and graphics. Animations and transitions turn the mundane into dynamic presentations. What's more, updates and customizations can be made quickly and economically on the computer.
However, no small measure of art and science go into making AV effective. We've all seen our share of dreadful PowerPoint shows. AV is a special form of communication and presents its own challenges.
That's where the BCIU's Public Relations staff comes in. We have more than 25 years' experience creating professional AV productions. We can help design a program that will engage your audience, convey your message, and dazzle a few eyeballs.
