On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Mr. Zachariah (Zach) Milch, Program Administrator for Alternative Education at the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU), was honored with the 2024 Paving the Way to Educational Success Advocate Award. The award was presented during the 2024 Advocates of the Year Ceremony at The Alloy in King of Prussia.
Dr. Hackman, BCIU Executive Director, and Dr. Michelle Reichard-Huff, BCIU Director of the Office of Early Childhood and Student Services, attended the event. During the event they connected with several key individuals, including Kristen Hoffa, Regional Coordinator, PA Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH) and Educational Stability for Foster Care Youth along with her team; Dr. Joseph Macharola, Superintendent of the Muhlenberg School District; Tracy Duarte, Head Start Collaboration Director at The Pennsylvania Key; and, of course, Zach Milch.
