The Berks County Intermediate Unit is pleased to recognize Kim Ressler, Digital Marketing Specialist, for her recent presentation at the National Institute of Government Purchasing (NIGP) Area II Conference, held September 23-25, 2026, at the Gettysburg Hotel in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The conference welcomed procurement professionals and public-sector leaders from across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C., representing local governments, transportation authorities, state agencies, and other public organizations.

On September 24, 2026, Mrs. Ressler led a session titled “Beyond Compliance: Building Accessible Digital Experiences with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).” During the session, she translated complex accessibility standards into practical concepts that attendees could apply to purchasing decisions, website management, digital documents, and day-to-day communications.

The presentation was well received by attendees ranging from individuals new to government procurement to experienced directors and agency leaders. Participants left with valuable tools, resources, and actionable strategies to strengthen efforts within their organizations.
