Berks STEM Connection

The Berks County STEM Connection Ecosystem is a robust and thriving environment in Berks County that supports the excellent work of our educators and students in STEM education.

In 2019, the Berks STEM Connection Ecosystem was selected to join the STEM Learning Ecosystems of Practice (SLECoP), a network of global ecosystems working to build meaningful connections among community partners to prepare students for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

The Berks County Intermediate Unit supports STEM initiatives in the Berks County by hosting and co-sponsoring events, providing STEM tools to educators, and bridging the gap between STEM education and the workplace.

Program Goals:

  • Immerse all education stakeholders in innovative strategies and current instructional practices to promote robust, systematic, and equitable STEM education for all students

  • Convene stakeholders from public, non-public, and charter schools, CTCs, Higher Education to collaborate, share best practices, learn innovative strategies, and witness innovative learning in action taking place in our districts
