From learning the latest in classroom technology tools, to continuing professional education courses, to training in curriculum evaluation, and more, the BCIU offers educators and administrators a wealth of professional development experiences.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses are offered by BCIU. These graduate level courses offer credit toward a Level II Instructional or Educational Specialist Certificate, a Master’s Equivalency Certificate, Act 48, self-improvement, or professional development.
Flexible Learning Environments for eXcellence (FLEX) help educators to learn and prepare for the upcoming school year. Frontline Education is used for the wide array of courses & workshops that the BCIU offers.
Educators from across Berks County and beyond gather for the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s annual events and conferences. The events feature some of the most recognized national speakers as well as the most talented local educators, all with the goal of inspiring and challenging educators to take what they learn and apply it to their own classrooms.
insideBERKSbusiness is a teachers in the workplace initiative that connects local educators with businesses in Berks County. Fortified with the knowledge gleaned from their internship experience, educators will be able to enrich their career education instruction and counseling efforts.
