The BCIU hosted a “Stop the Bleed” training on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The training was conducted by the Emergency Department staff from Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. The American College of Surgeons’ STOP THE BLEED® program has trained over three million people worldwide on how to control bleeding in severely injured individuals.
Rodney Good, Operations Supervisor of Safety and Training, coordinated the session. This life-saving training is part of BCIU's ongoing commitment to prioritizing safety and security.
