Kelly Hollenbach, Human Resources Recruitment and Staffing Specialist in the Office of Human Resources, has been named Employee of the Month for August 2024.

Tina Blatt, Program Administrator, Office of Human Resources, shared, “Kelly is the queen of client service. After their initial interview, Kelly becomes the primary contact for new hires leading up to their first day with the BCIU. Kelly wears many hats with new hires: cheerleader when she first communicates her encouragement at their acquisition of a position; personal assistant as she outlines in great detail the next steps that they need to take in the hiring process; calendar and timekeeper when new hires need to complete a task and may be lagging behind with their timetable; and master listener to all of the concerns for new hires as they navigate leaving another employer to come to the BCIU.”

Mrs. Hollenbach graduated from Tulpehocken Area School District. Kelly grew up in Bernville and currently lives in Bethel. She has been married to her husband, Rodney for 33 years. Together, they have a daughter, Taylor and an almost 2-year-old granddaughter, Ellie.

In Kelly’s spare time, she loves spending time with her family, especially Ellie! She also enjoys going for walks and reading.

Kelly has worked for the BCIU for 25 years. She enjoys working with her BCIU family. She also enjoys helping candidates through the hiring process and then meeting them in person for pre-employment.

You might not know that Rodney and Kelly own a farm where they raise crops. Their main crops are hay, corn, soybeans, and wheat. They also have some beef cattle and raise heifers for family with a dairy farm.
