Congratulations to Julie Bunnick, Creative Services Coordinator/Designer for being recognized nationally for excellence in graphic design in the 61st Annual American Graphic Design (GDUSA) Awards Competition. For more than 60 years, GDUSA has held this annual end-of-year, best-of-year competition to recognize outstanding work by creative and design professionals and the value they bring to their organizations. This year, they received more than 8,000 entries, and only the top 10% were selected as winners.
Julie won for her work on the Branding and Identity for Project ELECT: Pregnant & Parenting Teen (PPT) Program. As part of BCIU’s Executive Office Creative Services, Julie worked with PPT staff Christina DeJesus, Family Life Education Specialist for Education Leading to Employment and Career Training (ELECT), and Lisa Pisano, the now-retired Family Life Education Specialist for ELECT, on an initiative to increase enrollment and promote the free services available to Berks County teens who are pregnant or parenting.
The branding was prominently featured in various outreach efforts, including rear bus wraps, posters in bus shelters, and door hangers (available in both English and Spanish) to assist the outreach team. Additional marketing deliverables further enhanced the program’s visibility.
Kim Ressler, Digital Marketing Specialist and Creative Services team member, was also recognized for her contributions, which included the paid social media campaign and a dedicated page on the BCIU website.
