Nik Barkauskas, PhD
Assistant Director of School Improvement Performance Management

Dr. Barkauskas is the Assistant Director of School Improvement Performance Management for Pennsylvania’s Continuous Support and Improvement (CSI) systems via Berks County Intermediate Unit. He works with schools and districts to develop school improvement plans and monitor progress on those plans throughout the year.

A part of his work is to advocate for leveraging mixed data sets for school decisions—including the use of surveys, interviews, observations, and other forms of data alongside traditional assessment data as a way to tell the whole of school improvement. His area of specialization on the CSI Performance Management team is in database maintenance, data analysis, data visualizations, and goal writing for school improvement.
