The Berks County Intermediate Unit’s Office of Information Technology provides innovative solutions for your school district’s technology needs. BCIU staff can assist with the implementation and training in new technologies, with industry-leading customer support.
Since 2016, there have been more than 770 cyber incidents affecting K-12 schools in the United States, including ransomeware attacks, data breaches, phishing attacks, and more.* The BCIU Office of Information Technology wants to equip school leaders with the knowledge they need to prevent these costly attacks.

The BCIU is the Infinite Campus Educational Services Agency Partner in Pennsylvania, providing exceptional support, training and technical services for Infinite Campus.
Through the BCIU, districts can utilize eFinancePLUS® tools for business and financial management with direct support from knowledgeable members of the BCIU technology team.
The BCIU manages a Regional Wide Area Network (RWAN). This network connects the BCIU, 16 of 18 Berks county public school districts, and the two career and technology centers.
Our software, eTaxTrax®, allows district personnel and tax collectors alike to manage taxpayer and property information throughout the tax year, from tax calculation to bill generation and printing, as well as tax collection and tracking, including the handoff to delinquent collections.
