Office of the Executive Director

The Executive Director provides leadership and administers the overall operation of the BCIU in accordance with the policies of the BCIU Board of Directors, the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the regulations of the State Board of Education to include working with the Board, staff, schools, and the community to develop effective and efficient programs and services. Working with the BCIU Leadership Team, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight toward the achievement of the BCIU goals, objectives, and mission.

The Executive Director serves as Superintendent of Record of the Berks Career & Technology Center and also chairs the Superintendents’ Advisory Committee, acts as liaison to district superintendents and school boards, works with local district personnel, represents the intermediate unit on community boards; and serves as liaison to the Pennsylvania Intermediate Unit executive directors, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the State Legislature, higher education, and other professional and community organizations / partners.
