Federal Programs

Title I and Title I, Part D

Title I and Title I, Part D monies provide supplementary education services to help children and youth in state-run institutions, such as youth detention centers and prisons, continue their education. The funds provide basic prevention and intervention programs for children and youth who are neglected, delinquent at-risk.

Federal Program Coordinator Networking Group

The federal program coordinators within the county are invited to participate in a variety of federal program offerings throughout the year as well as come together to collaboratively discuss the newest changes to federal regulations and the impact of these changes on school programs.

New Coordinator Trainings

Three times during the school year federal program coordinators throughout the region are invited to the BCIU to attend information sessions/trainings developed by the state on the grant opportunities available, the requirements of the most common grants, Title I, Title II, Title Ill as well as a variety of other grants. Though these sessions are advertised for new coordinators, they are wonderful opportunities for you to stay current with federal programs updates and changes.

You may register for these trainings on the Pennsylvania Federal Program Coordinators (PAFPC) website.

Regional Workshops/Meetings

The BCIU is a host site for the state’s Fall Regional Workshops and the Spring Regional Meetings. We welcome you to all of these events and look forward to supporting you in your work with federal programs.
